Dr. Nicole Hernandez is a Board Certified dual-degreed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.  She happens to be the third-generation female dentist in her family, succeeding after her mother, and before her maternal grandmother. She is a native of Tampa, FL, with her early and high school education completed at the Academy of the Holy Names. She then went on to receive her degree in Biology at Florida State University.

She completed her dental school training at NYU and then went on to successfully complete the 6-year Dual Degreed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. During her OMFS training, she obtained her Medical Degree from the Long School of Medicine at UT Health. In addition, she received her certificate in General Surgery and completed over 6 months of extensive training in Anesthesia.

Currently, she practices as a full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Coastal Jaw Surgery with emphasis on dental extractions and bone grafting, dental implants and full arch rehabilitation, pathology, and TMJ disease. In addition, she maintains hospital privileges at Advent Health Tampa with participation in dental and trauma call.

When not busy working, Dr. Hernandez enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, beach vacations, and philanthropic activities. She has been a longtime volunteer of the Healing the Children surgical mission to Neiva, Colombia, which serves underprivileged children born with cleft lip and palate. Aside from Healing the Children, she continues to have an active role in education volunteering her time at the University of Florida AEGD in Seminole, FL, as well as participating as mentor in the USF Medi-Programs for aspiring pre-dental and pre-medical students. She currently serves as a board member of the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association, Tampa Bay Latin American Medical Society, and Healing the Children.
